بدأ إنتاج النفط في أول منصة بحرية في السنغال، حسبما أعلنت شركة “وودسايد إنرجي” الأسترالية المشغلة، اليوم الثلاثاء، لينضم هذا البلد إلى نادي الدول المنتجة للنفط الخام.
وقال الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة ميغ أونيل: “هذا يوم تاريخي للسنغال ولوودسايد”، معتبرا استخراج النفط من حقل سانغومار “محطة مهمة”.
وتقع المنصة العائمة على بعد نحو 100 كيلومتر قبالة الشاطئ، وتبلغ طاقتها التخزينية 1,3 مليون برميل، وفق الشركة المشغلة.
